The IxI FURIOUS 1.5 is a high-speed shallow runner built around an uncompromising idea: create a lure capable of being retrieved at tremendous speed while maintaining a remarkably shallow, stable running depth.
 
Developed by Imaeda and Ito as the second release from the I×I brand, FURIOUS was engineered to exploit the bass's instinct to attack bait fleeing at high speed.
 
At the heart of the design is an innovative water-through mechanism that turns incoming water flow into an active part of the lure's action and depth control. Combined with Micro LBO weight-transfer technology and a high-pitch rolling action, the result is a compact 64 mm minnow capable of delivering an unusually aggressive shallow-water presentation.
 
A Shallow Runner Designed for Speed
The design incorporates a water intake in the head that allows water to flow through the lure's body. As the water enters, it is pressurized internally, increasing flow velocity and contributing to the stability of both the lure's action and trajectory. This internal water flow effectively becomes a virtual lip, controlling how the lure interacts with the water without relying solely on a conventional external diving lip.
 
Water Flow as a Virtual Lip
Water entering through the head intake is directed through the body, where the flow is accelerated before being discharged. Two water ducts positioned beneath the gills release excess flow downward. This helps reduce pressure created during extremely shallow, high-speed retrieves.
 
The result is a carefully controlled hydraulic system designed to counteract the increased water resistance that accompanies faster retrieval.

The FURIOUS 1.5 is designed specifically for aggressive shallow-water fishing.
With a maximum diving depth of 1.5 m, it is a versatile shallow runner capable of being retrieved at high speed while maintaining its intended shallow range. This makes speed a fundamental part of the lure's design rather than simply an optional retrieve technique.
 
Ultra-Tight Swimming Action
The FURIOUS produces a high-pitch rolling drive action with extremely tight swimming movement.
Its rapid rolling action produces intense, fast flashing, while the compact swimming motion provides the stability required for aggressive shallow-water retrieves. Its ultra-tight action is also designed to continue even when the hooks pick up some debris or sediment after contacting the bottom.
 
High-Pitch Roll and Strobe Flashing
The FURIOUS incorporates Micro LBO, a patented moving-balancer system designed for the compact lure. This system contributes to the lure's impressive casting performance while supporting its characteristic high-pitch over-roll.
 
The rapid rolling movement creates a pronounced strobe-flashing effect, giving the small 64 mm body an exceptionally active visual presentation. The combination of tight rolling action and rapid flashing is central to the FURIOUS's high-speed approach.
 
Micro LBO – Long Casting in a Compact Package
Despite measuring only 64 mm and weighing 1/4 oz, the FURIOUS is equipped with Micro LBO technology. The moving-balancer system allows the compact lure to achieve impressive casting distance, including when facing strong headwinds.
 
This is particularly significant for a lure designed to cover broad shallow areas. Its compact body can be cast long distances while maintaining the high-speed retrieve characteristics for which the FURIOUS was designed.

Its high-pitch rolling drive produces fast flashing and impressive stability, while the ultra-tight swimming action allows it to continue moving effectively even when debris or sediment is picked up after contact with the bottom. This makes the 1.5 particularly suited to working aggressively through the gaps and irregularities of riprap in shallow water.
