Megabass X-NANAHAN – Next-Generation Finesse Minnow
 
This is a next-generation finesse minnow created from the combined vision of two highly accomplished lure designers: the ideals of Japanese hard-lure specialist Shinji Sato and the engineering expertise of Yuki Ito, creator of legendary jerkbaits including the VISION ONETEN.
 
The result is a compact 75 mm, 1/4 oz slow-floating minnow designed around three defining characteristics: exceptional castability, highly responsive swimming action and a remarkably realistic baitfish presentation.
 
Compact Body. Serious Casting Distance.
Small minnows can present an obvious engineering challenge: creating a compact silhouette while retaining enough internal volume to achieve useful casting performance.
 
Megabass approached this by carving the body from a high-volume square block. This construction allows the lure to retain the internal volume needed for long-distance casting while achieving the visually tight silhouette of a compact minnow.
 
Air resistance was thoroughly reduced to produce long-distance castability exceeding the standard casting distance of 70 mm-class minnows.
 
For a lure measuring just 75 mm, that is a central part of the lure design philosophy—not an afterthought.
 
Hydrodynamics Engineered for Responsiveness
The X-NANAHAN's distinctive minnow shape incorporates the latest hydrodynamics, producing excellent swimming response and intuitive handling. Its compact body generates a subtle action designed to reproduce the minute vibrations and flashing characteristics of baitfish with a high degree of realism.
 
Rather than relying on exaggerated movement, this lure's standard swimming action is deliberately refined.
 
High-Pitch Roll on a Straight Retrieve
One of its defining actions appears during a simple straight retrieve. It produces a high-pitch rolling movement, with enough lifelike appeal to provoke chase bites even without an aggressive rod presentation.
 
This gives it an important advantage in terms of presentation: the lure's action is built into the retrieve itself.
 
A straightforward cast-and-retrieve can therefore take full advantage of the lure's designed swimming action.
 
The X-NANAHAN Philosophy

Why the Name "NANAHAN"?
The Japanese name is a wordplay built around "nana" (seven) and "han" (half)—a reference to the lure's approximately 75 mm length.
 
That makes the name particularly fitting for the platform: NANAHAN = 7½, reflecting the lure's 7.5 cm-class body.
 
The X- designation places it within Megabass's X-series of minnows, while this lure identifies the compact 75 mm platform.
 
Slow-Floating Design
This bait is a slow-floating minnow with a maximum stated depth of 1.8 m.
