When resting on the bottom in flowing water, the lure maintains a tail-up posture using its built-in buoyancy. Employing a bottom-tapping retrieve mimics a small baitfish pecking at the substrate to trigger aggressive reaction bites.
On a steady retrieve, the lure swims horizontally with a subtle side-to-side tail swing. Adding twitching action with line slack produces sharp darting swings horizontally and vertically, activating neutral trout.
