The DAIWA Gekkabijin Shirasu Joint 55SS is a specialized jointed sinking pencil lure engineered to mimic whitebait and juvenile anchovy patterns. Featuring a flexible three-piece jointed body, it delivers a natural, lifelike swimming action designed to trigger strikes from wary rockfish and light saltwater game.
Its low-center-of-gravity belly weight chamber stabilizes the ultra-slim profile while maintaining the lure's natural translucent presentation. This internal balance prevents erratic rolling and ensures smooth, consistent swimming across multiple retrieve speeds.
Equipped with a micro lip under the chin, the lure provides moderate retrieval resistance for enhanced feedback through the rod. This design keeps the lure stable during fast retrieves, preventing it from breaking the water surface and allowing anglers to vary retrieve cadences effectively.
