Supervised by Yuki Ohno, the DAIWA Morethan Galva 64S-LI is a specialized slow-pitch sinking pencil designed for targeting seabass in bay areas and rivers. It features a unique upward-curving head and a precision short lip that generate immediate lift upon retrieve while resisting crosswinds.
This lip-equipped design strikes a balance between upward lift and sub-surface depth retention, allowing the lure to swim stably just under the water surface. Despite its compact profile, the body features substantial height and thickness to maximize casting distance and deliver pinpoint accuracy.
The lure produces a wide swing action starting from the head, presenting a natural yet strong appeal to fish feeding near the top. Adjusting rod angles allows versatile presentations, creating surface wakes with the rod raised or targeting shallow sub-surface zones down to 0.7 ft with the rod lowered.
